Intra-oral digital implant impression technique utilizing customized impression coping

Abstract
Digital impression coping (scan body) can be customized to make it possible to be used for digital intra-oral impression taking procedure after tissue molding by provisional prosthesis at the area of esthetic implant. In this case presentation, for the purpose of reproducing the tissue molded implant bed with natural emergence profile after upper right premolar implant¡¯s osseointegration, digital impression coping was modified to copy the shape of provisional prosthesis by adding pattern resin. Three dimensional image of this coping was acquired by intra-ora scanner and designing of customized abutment and superstructure was done on this data. The prostheses were manufactured from titanium and Pd-In alloy which can be processed by milling machine and the clinically satisfactory result was obtained.
